About Mel Bernett

Mel Bernett is a prolific author of historical fiction and a captivating series about a modern-day young woman's journey of self-discovery. 

His first book, Almost, is a mystery that delves into historical facts, featuring characters from the MARSOC, a specialized unit of the U.S. Marine Corps.

His second  is a series of three books which compose

 The Abigail Carter Detective Series. 

  The series starts with  Remaking Abbi, where we follow the life of a young woman as she changes direction by first remaking herself into a state police officer, and then finding love and facing a near death accident.  

   The second book in the series, Moving On, deals with her recovery as she moves past her injury to fulfill her dreams  of an exciting career, although not as the police officer we had met in Remaking Abbi. Moving On deals with the complexities of a young woman in love and about to marry, starting a new business and then returning to her old life.

 The third and final book in the series, Bonding, deals with the challenges of a young married woman, committed to her husband, her parents, her sister and a pledge she made to the Governor of her state.

 With his diverse range of literary works, Mel Bernett has established himself as a versatile and engaging storyteller, captivating readers with his blend of historical fiction and contemporary narratives.

. He is currently developing an entirely new story tentatively titled Survival. This book is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.  It is the story of a former US government agent recalling  his lifetime of service which he was never allowed to reveal.  He remembers his life as he lies  confined and shackled to a bed, in a mysterious hospital.
